This scheme, for a 60-room hotel and country club, was located in an area associated with King Thaksin’s naval war against the Burmese. The client greatly respected this historical link and we sought to honour the connection in the concept design. As such we developed Sino-Thai and naval elements throughout, especially in  the roof and façade treatment and the form of the pool area.
