Space Architects were invited by the Municipal Authority of Pattaya to design a master plan for a sports complex in Chonburi, adjacent to the SAT Indoor Athletics Stadium. This included facilities for football, swimming and tennis as well as beach volley ball, all at national and international competition levels. Training facilities for each discipline were also included.

As the football stadium was to be the focal point of the scheme our concept for this park was inspired by the image of the iconic FIFA World Cup being held aloft – the globe being the stadium itself, and adorned with trailing ribbons from the medals of victory defining the main concourse connecting each of the arenas. Our aim was to create a non-uniform look for the various sports auditoria, each having their own distinct character, whilst unifying the site through this main thoroughfare and through common but distinctive street-level architecture and soft and hard landscaping.
