We attempted to evoke the romantic ambience of the early 1900s in the design of the Royal Residence, a luxury private villa in the grounds of the InterContinental Hotel and Resort, Hua Hin. The seaside town was also the location for Rama VI’s summer palace and reference is made to this in the design of the 2-bedroom villa, with particular attention given to colonial-type architectural decoration of that era.
